Easy-to-Make Edible Holiday Gifts That Go Great with Bourbon

Don’t show up to your next holiday party empty-handed. With minimal effort in the kitchen and a little Daviess County Bourbon, you can create a beautiful — and seriously tasty! — holiday gift that’s sure to impress your host.

What are you waiting for? Grab your glass and get to cooking with one of these simple recipes.

Festive Fruit, Chocolate, and Bourbon

Who doesn’t love chocolate-dipped strawberries or chocolate-covered cherries? You can easily put together a batch of one or the other (or both!) and give them a little Christmas twist with the help of some green and red candy melts and holiday nonpareils, decorating sugar, and sprinkles.

All you’ll need is …

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries and/or cherries
  • 6 ounces white chocolate
  • 3 ounces green candy melts
  • 3 ounces red candy melts
  • Edible decor of your choice

Wash, clean, and thoroughly dry your fruit. Then, follow the package directions to melt your white chocolate and candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Holding your fruit by the stem, dip each piece in the white chocolate and then set aside on a piece of parchment paper to dry. Once the white chocolate is dry, drizzle on a red and green pattern using the candy melts, followed by adding the nonpareils, decorating sugar, sprinkles, and any other seasonal edible decor your heart desires.

Pair a decorative box of these tasty treats with a bottle of Daviess County Cabernet Sauvignon Finished Bourbon, and you’ll definitely win Party Guest of the Year.

Muddy Mix with an Adult Upgrade

No matter if you grew up calling it puppy chow or muddy buddies, there’s no denying this nostalgic snack that no one’s too old to enjoy. Mix a quick batch of this oh-so-snackable treat and tuck it into decorative cellophane bags for quick giving.

You’ll need…

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 9 cups Chex cereal
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Combine the chocolate, peanut butter, and butter in a large, microwave-safe bowl and heat until melted, stirring at 30-second intervals. Then, add the cereal and stir with a spatula until the cereal is entirely coated in the chocolate and peanut butter mixture. Add the cereal and your powdered sugar to a large bag and shake until covered, then distribute the mixture into your decorative bags.

Every age group at the party will love this gift, but the adults will especially love how the peanut butter and chocolatey flavors pair so well with Daviess County Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

S’more Bourbon, Please?

If you don’t even think you have the time or kitchen skills to manage a little microwave melting, put together a sweet treat tray that’s just the thing to enjoy over a roaring holiday bonfire or by the fireplace as you watch your favorite holiday flicks with the fam. A s’mores-themed charcuterie-style tray is easy to create, package, and take on the go.

Using a large, rimmed decorative tray, stack up a selection of…

  • Marshmallows (both normal and oversized, and maybe a few flavored options, too)
  • Graham crackers and other cookies
  • Various chocolates
  • Extra add-ons like hazelnut spreads or other candy

The best part? While s’mores are a delicious and cozy treat to enjoy by the fireside, they also just so happen to pair exceptionally well with Daviess County French Oak Barrel Finished Bourbon
