




Bourbon Sazerac





Laissez les bons temps rouler: Invented in the 19th century, this bourbon twist on the classic Sazerac mixes bitters, sugar, and absinthe, plus a strong dash of fun.

INGREDIENTS
1.5 ounces Daviess County Kentucky Straight Bourbon
.25 ounce absinthe
1 sugar cube
3 dashes of bitters
.25 ounce absinthe
1 sugar cube
3 dashes of bitters
Directions
Rinse a chilled old-fashioned glass with the absinthe, add crushed ice and set aside. Stir the remaining ingredients over ice and set aside. Discard the ice and any excess absinthe from the prepared glass, and strain the drink into the glass. Add lemon peel for garnish.
